As a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), I have a deep appreciation for human diversity and the ways people adapt, grow, and make meaning throughout life’s challenges. Drawing on over two decades of mindfulness practice and a background in both science and culture, I strive to create a supportive, inclusive space where individuals can explore their experiences, reconnect with their strengths, and move through difficult moments with greater clarity and compassion.
Before returning to graduate school to become a therapist, I worked for 20 years in geotechnical engineering and the construction industry. I hold a bachelor’s degree in anthropology and am currently completing a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. My longstanding interest in science, culture and philosophy continues to inform my therapeutic approach.
I work with adults navigating a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, chronic stress, burnout, loss, anger, and major life transitions. I integrate evidence-based, trauma-informed modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Interventions, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). My work is further informed by Polyvagal Theory and Interpersonal Neurobiology, supporting nervous system regulation and deeper self-understanding.
I believe therapy is most effective when it honours the unique identity, values, and worldview of each client. I am open to working within clients’ religious, spiritual, or humanistic frameworks, and thoughtfully integrating these perspectives into our work together. My goal is to offer a respectful, affirming environment that supports insight, agency, and lasting change.
